During the prenatal consultation we will discuss feeding goals, concerns, and how to initiate breastfeeding/chestfeeding, and newborn basics. This consult is designed to help you feel more comfortable and prepared during the first 24-48 hours following birth.
This visit is both supportive and informative. We will discuss any concerns that you may have about your feeding journey, goals that you would like to achieve, current breastfeeding/chestfeeding schedule to individualize a care plan for your needs, a maternal and infant assessment (anatomy and tethered oral tissues) will be completed, latch and transfer assessment, weighted feed, support and guidance on positioning/latch, discussion of referrals on an individual basis, and follow up support for 14 days following the visit.
This lactation visit includes latch and transfer assessments, weighted feed, troubleshooting, managing milk supply, referrals as needed, support and guidance on positioning/latch, and pumping/bottle feeding/supplementation basics. There will be follow up support for 7 days following this visit.
Initial and follow up visits can be completed virtually but do not include a weighted feed or hands on assessments.
Unfortunately, Myo Mark is a pay for service and does not accept insurance at this time. You can discuss with your HSA/FSA provider if lactation services are reimbursable. All services are subject to the Minnesota Care Tax and will be charged 1.8% when provided. Package lactation visits available at a discounted rate.
